I have been
offering my services as a Private Postsecondary Consultant for a number of years
and have developed a varied clients list of new school owners who have used my
business services to ease the hassle of paperwork and find a path though the
maze of State and Federal regulations that abound in private post-secondary
education. In addition to assisting my clients to bring their business plans to
fruition within an allotted budget by avoiding costly mistakes in money and
time, I also author the applications that are required for approval by both
State Approval/Licensing Agencies and Private Career and Regional Accrediting
Organizations.
Converted an
American English Language Self-Study series that I previously created for
International Education Corporation into an interactive website that is called
www.americanenglish.com.
Now act as advisor and consultant to senior management. Yes, I know
how to put your course online! I use
Moodle, a course
management system (CMS) - a free Open Source software package designed to help
educators create effective online courses. The software is free but the
programming and content creation requires an investment.
If by chance
you are interested in an Online English as a Second Language Program that covers
Beginning Level through to High Intermediate either as a vendor or to offer at
your school just give me a call. Click on www.americanenglish.comand go to Online Training and log in as a guest and you can take one
of the free units offered at each level. Feedback is always welcome!
Planned and
built an animation and digital video studio in Burbank featuring the latest
technology for the development of online education: light wave animation, Avid
edit workstations, blue screen, and sound-proof stage. This is where I learnt
most of my computer skills that included editing digitally with Avid, graphics
with Illustrator and Photoshop, sound with Sound Forge, website creation with
FrontPage, and blue-screen technology with Trinity, After Effects and a little
animation with 3-D Max.
After I setup
the school's animation and video studio and trained the staff and faculty in the
use of the software and equipment, I was asked to use me ESL background to solve
one of the school's more serious issues. So I planned and implemented an
International Academy for Fairmont Private Schools to address their growing need
to improve the English level of the mainly Asian high school students coming
from abroad, with the goal of mainstreaming them into Fairmont High School or
the American educational system. If you should need advice or direction with K
-12 applications and assistance with the DOE or the Department of Social
Services I can refer you to the right people.
